Sanpete

The TV translator sites which serve Sanpete County communities include:

Barton Peak

The Barton Peak translator site serves Manti, Ephraim and Sterling. Some residents in Spring City can use signals from Barton Peak. Also, residents on the west side of Mayfield can use signals from Barton Peak.

On Friday, June 12, 2009 all digital transmissions moved to their permanent operating channel at full power at the Barton Peak site.

Remember, for viewers who have been watching the DTV signals from the Barton Peak site, a rescan after June 12, 2009 is necessary to continue your reception of all the listed DTV signals.  For first time viewers, a properly installed outside UHF antenna along with a channel scan on your set top box converter or HDTV, will insure proper reception of all the listed DTV signals.  Your patience is appreciated through this DTV transition period.

New Proposed Fountain Green site

UPDATE: August 3, 2010

Plans are currently in place to serve residents of Fountain Green from a location north of Moroni. Sanpete County has received a grant from the CIB to fund this new, first time DTV Translator service to residents of the Fountain Green area.  Construction of the building and tower is complete. Installation of equipment, antennas and feed lines are near completion.  Sanpete County is hopeful of getting the power to the building in the next ten days or two weeks.   When the power is connected to the building facility, final installation and alignment will take place.  Hopefully, the new DTV transmissions will be operational in a two week time frame beginning August 3, 2010.  Your patience is appreciated in getting this first time DTV service to the Fountain Green area.  This web site will be updated when new information is available.
